Mystical paintings of horses can sometimes bring a subject to life in a way that is pleasing to the imagination and eye as well as tell a story. I love to do mystical paintings as your pallet isn't as limited and you can create any senario you want for the viewer. When painting a horse in a mystical setting I have to change my sense of movement and scenery in order to create a story. Simply put I have to let my mind wonder outside of the norm.

The PBR introduces new bucking stock each year. To me the challenge of photographing a horse or bull in motion is very exciting. I shoot for photos of complete action where the horse is animated in mid-air as well as the rider or where the bull is bouncing all over the rodeo grounds. A perfect photo consists of action that is caught in a moment of time, right down to the dirt movement with little to no skewing of the subject matter itself.
